Cecilia combines realistic subjects with intricate patterns to create an atmosphere in which the subject seems to push forward into reality. She stirs the space with gentle brush strokes and transforms the viewer into a world where color vibrates and movement flows.
She is a Maui artist painting in acrylics, pastel and oil. As an avid plein air painter she studies nature not only for the composition but for the movement and vibration.
She studied at the Foss School of Fine Art in Honolulu in in figure drawing and painting, and also studied with Master Artists such as Daniel E. Green, Camille Przewodek, Ken Backus and Kevin Macpherson.
A member of the American Society of Marine Artists, American Impressionist Society and Noaps (National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society). President of Art Maui a non-profit established in 1979.
