Cecilia Chenault is a maui based artist. Her journey began in 1976 when she arrived in Hawaii to live with her father. She began painting at a young age at the Foss School of Fine Art in Honolulu and later trained with several nationally renowned artists. Chenault’s goal is to compose a vision of beauty, while also delighting in the journey of creating it.
“I like to paint light and the way it falls on a subject. My paintings are about pleasing the eye and engaging the viewer. I am aware of the traditional craftsmanship I have attained through my years of study but I also like to explore a variety of techniques and mediums"
